Before Endodontic Therapy

Continue all medications as recommended by your physician. 

Please eat a full breakfast or lunch prior to your appointment, unless you had a previous consultation and been prescribed an oral sedative. 

If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to use an antibiotic premedication due to rheumatic heart disease, an artificial joint replacement, or cardiac valves, please make sure you take the appropriate antibiotic on the day of  your appointment. 

If you can take ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve), we recommend taking 2 tablets of either medication 2-4 hours prior to endodontic therapy as this helps reduce inflammation.
