Initial Appointment
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Most often, treatment can be completed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation prior to treatment at a later date.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your appointment:
- Your referral slip and x-rays/CBCT images from your dentist
- A list of the current medications you are taking
- A copy of your dental insurance card
IMPORTANT – A parent or legal guardian must accompany all patients under 18 years old at the consultation visit.
Please alert our office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to dental treatment or if you require antibiotics before standard dental care (i.e. joint replacements, heart conditions, or immunocompromised patients).
X-RAYS
If your dentist has taken recent x-rays, you may request that these be forwarded to our office. New x-rays are always taken at the consultation appointment to ensure that we can assess the current condition of your teeth. In many cases, we may also require a 3-D CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) image to give us highly detailed information about your tooth and the surrounding structures. This is especially necessary in complex cases such as retreatment and surgical cases.
